In order to repay the community, the Da Vinci House of IS has been supporting 6 children through their primary and secondary education. The Nansen House has bought PE equipment for Hao Qiang Primary School, library books for Nan An Primary School and sponsored Baiwan Secondary School to build the new hostel for boarding students
as well as paying for new PE equipment for the increased student body. Island School Student Union 2004 has also sponsored to build the new dorm for Baiwan Secondary School. Money has also been raised over the years to help equip other schools with better facilities.
During the trip in 2004, the group raised RMB 1200 to sponsor two children to start school. Baiwan group 2005 raised RMB 3100 to sponsor five children to start school.
We will continue to try to raise more money to improve the quality of education in Baiwan and to meet the needs of children there. |
