In light of the hardships of Bai Wan, a lot of money has been put in the community from all over the world including Hong Kong, Macau and Japan. New school buildings and a children's home were built since 1995 and some scholarships are also established. |

| Although the capital costs of infrastructures are looked after, the recurrent costs of daily operations of schools have to be funded by a limited government budget. Despite the hard work of teachers, the quality of education provided in schools cannot be upgraded. |  |
